Welcome to World Fringe Congress 2026
Thank you for joining us in San Diego as part of this extraordinary global gathering of Fringe leaders, artists, producers, organisers, and advocates. The Fringe movement has always been built on human connection, bold ideas, and the belief that creativity can cross borders, cultures, and communities. At a time when the world can feel increasingly divided, the importance of coming together in person has never been greater. These conversations, shared experiences, and chance encounters create the foundations for future collaborations, touring opportunities, friendships, and support networks that strengthen the global Fringe sector far beyond this week together.
This Congress is one of the rare moments where so many like minded people from across the world are together in the same space, all understanding the unique challenges, ambitions, and possibilities of Fringe. That is extraordinarily special. The value of these connections extends far beyond ourselves, it strengthens your festival, supports your artists, and benefits the communities you represent. World Fringe Congress exists because international collaboration matters, and because when we gather together, we remind each other that we are part of something much bigger, a global Fringe family connected through creativity, resilience, and shared purpose.
